Dr. Anniqua Rana is the Dean Athletics, Kinesiology and Dance, Library, Learning Resources at Cañada College, California, USA. She has taught ESL and English at Cañada College for fifteen years, where she began as an Adjunct Professor.  As the Bay Area Network Coordinator for 3CSN, and at Cañada College as Coordinator of the Basic Skills Committee, the Center for Innovation in Excellence in Teaching and Learning, the Reading/Writing Lab and the ESL Department, she has worked on program planning to support student success through innovations in teaching and learning.

Her experience in education of over twenty years includes teaching ESL, English, English Literature, Creative Writing, and Education at DeAnza College, Mission College, University of San Francisco, Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, and Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan.  She has also worked for a publishing company, and as a technical writer for a software company in the Bay Area.

She has a Masters in English from San Jose State, a TESOL Certificate from UC Berkeley, and a Doctorate in International and Multicultural Education from USF.  Her dissertation was on the Impact of Technology on Women of Pakistan in Higher Education.  She travels to Pakistan regularly as a consultant in Higher Education facilitating trainings in Technology in Language Learning and Leadership in Education.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and working on her novel about Pakistan in the 70s.
